Syncing gamplay with camera

So I'm a gaming youtuber and I wanted to start doing facecam videos I think it would somewhat be more interesting having my reactions playing games and stuff like that but I was wondering for yall that have to record using 2 different devices how do you sink gameplay from your capturecard and audio and video from your camera thanks in advance :)
 
If you can't merge them in one single source (think gameplay + webcam setups in OBS or similar) you can always use the old school clap-board system. or in your case just say out loud "Start" or a similar keyword when you press start on your gamepad, and sync based on that. Not very elegant, but I used to do something similar with a camera and a separate microphone.
