Switching Networks

I am leaving my current network(Creator X) in a few months and am looking around for someone else(I've got Curse in mind).

When is the right time to approach a new network and apply? What sort of crossover time should I expect to experience, from leaving one to joining the next? Is it possible to apply in advance?

There might be more questions coming, so thanks in advance for reading and for any advice you might be able to offer.

Well, first of all make sure you contact your old network about wanting to leave, most networks usually require around 30 days notice, within the remaining month I would say is the best time to contact them about joining in my opinion.

Already done, hence "I am leaving" as a definitive statement ;) Their customer service is shocking; for example, it took them 5 days to acknowledge the cancellation with a "sorry, email this person instead". Well thanks for forwarding it for me after so long, guys.. If given the chance I'd try and find a way to terminate it sooner - a LOT sooner but I may as well honour my contract for the duration.

It's a shame really. I did my homework before joining, met their requirements, and then about 2 weeks after that they did a RPM/ATV by removing virtually all requirements and letting idiots populate the forums. Oh yeah, Creator X was all about gaming? Not any more!

There is no hurt in approaching new networks as early as possible. Do your homework (again) for the networks you want to join but ask them what exact requirements you need to meet. If you are sure you meet those requirements, it really shouldn't take much time to switch from one network to the other. I would guess no longer than it took you to get your 1st network, probably less time. I know that's not an exact answer but I doubt it will be much hassle especially if you already have experience going through the process.
