Sponsorships: How do you know if your audience is ready?

I'm currently in an interesting position in my Youtube journey. I've thought about how valuable my audience is to me but from a sponsor's point of view, how can I tell if the people who support my channel will also support any sponsorships I want to negotiate in the future? I'm not big enough yet as a channel to attract any glamorous offers but it's something I've been pondering since after hitting 500 subscribers and I thought it'd be great to get your input on the subject. I can't seem to find any information relating to this on google because it just comes up with fake "buy new subscribers today" sites.

Any advice from someone who has handled stuff like this before would be much appreciated.
