Alright, i just want to understand this
i've heard that google adsense gives you about 68% of the money the advertisers pay for and ad.

so if you partnered with a network, lets say they do a 60/40 deal (number out of my head) does this mean they take 40% of the 68% you are getting from google adsense, or how does this work?

The 68% share is only if you're putting Google ads on a website.

For youtube videos, your share is 55%

Alright, so YouTube always takes 45%, if an MCN gets invloved, they take 10-50% of your 55%

Honestly you should avoid networks until they are offering you stuff like 90% - 10% or better. If you are large enough, they will offer 100%. Seems crazy right?

If you aren't large enough to be getting offers of a minimum of 80-20 then you are getting ripped off and should avoid ads until you are big enough for those kinds of contracts. (that's 50k+ views per month btw.)

They sell premium ads targeted to your niche eg gaming. This gets them higher paying ads which ends up earning you more even with their cut taken off.

Networks have a lot of benefits besides just getting paid. You probably don't want to join one just yet as nether you nor the network can benefit all that much.

If I were you I would wait for 50k+ views per month to join a network tbh. Otherwise its kind of pointless. In fact I wouldn't use ads at all till then. Considering you aren't making any real money, and you are just irritating your viewers :/ But its all up to you really ha ha. Just some friendly advice.
