All the music within our clips has been licensed to us by the artists directly.
Like I said...i was shooting darts. I know I had one demonetized because I used the word terrorist. I appealed it and still no answer from You Tube. It seems to be hot and miss sometimes. It would be helpful if you tube actually responded rather than point you in the direction of some policy somewhere for you to figure it out. Best of luck with you quest. Keep us informed, would love to know why that video was demonetized.

Cheers,
Scott

The Bot that trawls these videos is not very intelligent. It seems to basically look for commercial web links outside of those approved for general use, and for words in the description such as "for sale, buy, shop, store "etc.

I had a video demonetized simply because I mentioned in the video description that the machine in the non promotional video was for sale (it was a vintage metal lathe).

I put in a disclaimer to the effect that "no undeclared revenue was/is derived from this video", appealed the demonetization and was re-instated.

So that's why I'm sure the problem is in the description. It's either the link, the word "Shop", or both.

If it was a music issue they can just mute the music under the current policy, and allow monetisation. That hasn't happened.

Cheers Rob

Be careful with the bot because it also knows all the languages in the world. I once had a video demonetized, because one of the words in the video meant something inappropriate in Spanish. I e-mailed YouTube support, but they didn't figure out why. I set the video for manual review and then monetization was restored. I figured out later why the video got such fate and then I e-mailed YouTube back to point out why there was trouble. Fortunately, the reviewer of the video didn't knew Spanish.

(QUOT"mrzomaya, post: 2211317, member: 82043"]Hello YTTALK,

I've started a YouTube channel for my brand THE-LOWDOWN and have been posting up content over the past few months and have been refused monetization twice now.

I emailed YT and asked why in which I received a generic response of "Upon checking, please note that your YouTube Partner Program application was rejected because we were unable to determine if your channel complies with YouTube Partner Program Policies. Make sure your content complies with our policies, and you can reapply again in one month. In the meantime, you can still upload videos to YouTube. "

I then responded and asked if they could tell me the EXACT clause or policy my channel was breaching in which they responded "Unfortunately, we don't have the information that you're asking. Kindly review this Help Center article to know what are the things that we look for. Also, you can reapply again in one month."

I was hoping that you guys could assist me by quickly reviewing my channel?

THE-LOWDOWN.com YouTube Channel: channel/UCK4AbyN0A-AS2oqUzMoqgSg

All music has appropriate rights purchased from the associated artists and the content has all been produced by my brand.

Any help is much appreciated as dealing with YT is quite frustrating!!

Thanks in advanced![QUOTE)

what type of videos are you making cause they need to be hitting the youtube guideline, and you need to have a certain amount of channel views

Glad to hear it. I was pretty sure it would work out OK.

The worst part of this whole saga is that you can't get any meaningful information from Adsense on what the actual problem is, and where to look.

It's very frustrating.

So now it's full steam ahead, and start earning some $$$s for your efforts.

Cheers Rob
