REALLY CONFUSED

Hey guys, so I am really confused. Lets say I showed a certain brand of markers, and said I got these from *Insert craft store here* lol, or if I said I got this skirt from *any clothing store* Could I get Trademark? Or anything else like that? There may be an obvious answer. I just can't seem to find one, and I don't want to get in any sort of legal trouble If anyone knows it would be awesome if you could reply.
