In one of the YouTube videos made by user, 99 chemicals
this person shows you how to extract ingredients out of 6 volt lantern batteries,
Chemicals such as manganese dioxide, zinc plating and carbon rods.
my question is..
are these ingredients still useful if the battery has been drained prior to extraction?
In the video this person is removing these ingredients from a fresh battery.
the manganese dioxide is in a paste form.
I removed it from a dead battery where it was in a solid form,
the zinc plating was pretty much eroded away due to utilizing the battery.
And the carbon rods appear to be fine.
Any knowledgeable answers from anyone who may know is gratefully accepted thank you for your time
