[question] i have a new channel and i have a question about monetizing

i am looking to get custom thumb nails before i post more content since its really imporent for me
but i am not sure if i can join the normal monetizing program of youtube and get the feature to change my thumbnail

and if i do get it,can i leave after a while and join a good network?

Just Verify your channel using mobile number, enable monetization (You don't even need a video or have it enabled on any of your videos to enable it fully), then you should get Custom Thumbnails. Also networks are quite useless now for small channels so I don't recommend joining one unless you're getting a good couple of thousand views a day.

You can verify your YouTube account and get custom thumbnails.

Yeah if you give them your number they will call or text you with a verification code, and once you enter that then it allows you to post vids longer than 15 minutes, get custom thumbs, and monetize if you want. But it's not gonna let you do any of those things until you verify.
