One Channel vs. multiple Channels?

What do you think works best?

to have 1 channel with 7 videos a week?

to have 2 channels with 3.5 videos a week?

to have 3 channels with 2.33 videos a week?

to have 4 channels with 1.75 videos a week?

to have 6 channels with 1.16 videos a week?

to have 7 channels with 1 video a week?

Basically, what I am asking is: do you guys think it's good to put all energy/time/money into one channel? Or should I diversify and create multiple channels with diverse content (but therefore with fewer uploads per week)?

Thanks for your opinions :)

All the options that you have listed are not realistic, and you will either burn yourself out or run out of ideas quickly.

Start with one channel. That's always the first step.

I'd go with 2 channels and 3.5 videos a week. You can create good crossover by splitting a video half-way and redirecting people to the other channel to finish watching it.

I guess it depends on what content you intend to do, if the content is similar to each other, I don´t see any reason to have multiple channels.
7 Channels seems too much to have. I find 2 channels to be enough, but that´s just me though!

These are crazy numbers, how will you find the time to think of ideas, film it (and in a few takes), edit it properly, find music, upload with tags, and promote, with such a packed release schedule.

Unless you are doing it full time, slow down, it'll be better for the long run and your motivational levels.

I'd stick with one channel, unless the content is vastly different, then start a new channel. you can always link the two and cross promote

Torn between 2 and 3 channels on this one, think I would go for 2.

I'm trying the two channel thing. Right now I upload 3 days a week on one and once a week on the other (New) Channel. What's the goal here sweets?
