My channel and adsense account was perfectly in a good standing since December 2012
I was had a copyright strike, but it removed in 29 Aug 2013

Just wait then. I was working with someone to fix theirs problems and it took about a week after connecting an AdSense account for the monetization to go back to active.

No it hasn't got anything to do with that. Community has been available for about two months now to channels with over 10,000 subscribers.
