Maybe a useless info but maybe someone is using it. Google URL Shortener is going to be replaced.

I have used this shortener as long as it gave a more "non scam" essence.
It was quite easy to drive from blog to YT and vice versa.
Current created links are going to be alive "forever" they say.

Indeed. But it is still quite uncomfortable. I have replaced them yesterday with native wordpress shorten links.
It is a shame that Google ends products that advertised as long term and free for everyone.
The did the same to YT creators forum for example.
This is quite hard to wonder if they will terminate or transform other major elements e.g. in Youtube.

Yeah, thanks for posting this. I got the message from them too. I've used their service for a couple of years because it was reliable and had a good image. I checked out the so-called replacemant "Firebase" and it all looks so complicated and related to mobile apps and not at all what goo.gl did. Sigh, why do they have to overcomplicate everything?!
