I stopped using the mute button on my Blue Yeti mic because when you use it, it puts a loud click or pop when coming back to commentary. Its an unprofessional and distracting noise, but sometimes you want to use mute, for instance in long video game cinematics.

Does anyone know how to eliminate the clicking sound when taking the Yeti off mute? I prefer using the hardware function over clicking the live commentary off/on in the Elgato HD software.

Not much you can do at source but of course you can remove the click during editing. :)

That's what I was going to say. I always have a click at the end of every segment because the microphone picks up the mouse click to turn off the recording. I just edit it out and no one knows it was ever there.

Echoing the other posters, you can just edit it out. If you don't want to change the timing, instead of deleting it, you can generate some silence to fill the space instead.
