Digital Puppets
My Animation studio has started a new service Creating Digital Puppets that can be used to present shows on your youtube channels.
Using Adobe Character Animator we are offering to supply Fully rigged Custom Cartoon designs that you can animate yourself using a webcam, these can be used either live or prerecorded in realtime and edited into your videos.
Prices and Options
Custom Template character £150/$185
Our custom template character is where we customize it so he looks like you (or the appearance you want him/her to have). Hair, eyes, nose, weight, shape can all be remoulded.
Custom character £300/$380+
For £300 we will build you a custom character from scratch, starting with a pencil concept, through to the completed rigged puppet. Human, Creature, Animal, Object, 2D or 3D, we can create whatever you need. We charge £300 a day. We can build most characters in one day but we will tell you up front if the design you request would take longer. The only reason a character will take longer than one day to build is if you require something extra complicated.
Both template and custom puppets will be delivered with 14 Standard single frame mouth shapes and blinking eyes and draggable hands.
Additional add-on options
Additional lip sync mouth shapes
If you would like your character to emote additional emotions, such as
-Sadness
-Anger
-Scared, etc
You will need to purchase additional mouth shapes for £50/$65 per new set
If you would like the mouth shapes animated (this is something our studio has been developing and you can see the results on our models), so when each mouth shape appears, there is motion to add more fluidity, the cost would be an additional £100/$125, as rendering the mouth shapes are very time consuming.
Special character moves
This is where we create a new motion for the character. Example. Waving, dancing, pointing transformation, facial emotion such as laughing, winking, whatever you can think of. Each of these can be triggered by pressing a designated button on the keyboard. For example, I could program it so when a person presses ‘L’ the character has love hearts spring about them and their expression changes, or I may press ‘C’ and the character begins to cry. I could press F and the character could begin to fly and change into a superhero costume. Anything is possible.
New arm gestures £50/$65 (pointing, waving, holding, fist) per animation
Facial expression £50/$65 (crying, shocked, wink, grin, mad, etc) per animation
Whole body movement (e.g, running, walking, dancing) £100/$125+ per animation
Head turning £100/$125
Special effects (e.g flames coming from mouth, lazers from eyes, playing on a joypad etc) £50/$65+ per animation
Non character additions
We can also create background scenery for your characters. Please enquire with details of what you need and we will price. Scenery can vary from £50/$65 to £200/$250+ depending the complexity of the required scene
For £30/$40 per hour we will also Skype communicate with you in order to educate on how to use Character Animator, and how to operate your character via Skype, Facebook live, Twitch and Youtube live.
What we need from you?
All we would need is a photograph of yourself or a description of how you would like the character to look. If you require additional character triggers or animations, please do inform us what you need and we will send you out a precise quotation for the additional works, though the above prices have been listed so you can gather an idea of costings. We will provide you with a sketch concept prior to the full digital design, for you to okay before we advance to the puppet production.
Requirements
What do you need? If you only want to control the puppet we provide, you will need access to the software Character Animator from Adobe, which can be found at the Adobe website
If you wish to edit the artwork personally, you will require either Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop also.
You will need a webcam for the motion capture and a microphone (though many webcams now have built in microphones).
Terms and Conditions
The prices above are for personal use only (people with less than 50,000 followers) and not for reselling.
All the above prices do not include the cost for the program Adobe Character Animator, which you will require to operate the digital puppet. If you pay via Paypal, then will be a paypal transaction fee added to your invoice. Prices quoted in $ represent US Dollars, not Canadian, Australian or other $ currencies.
Each purchased character, whether our template, custom template or custom build character, are sold as one character to be used by yourself only. You are not permitted to purchase a character for yourself and claim it is personal, and then sell it onto a customer. If you do this, we will re-invoice you for the appropriate amount. Please feel free to contact us in regards to this, if this is not clear.
If you wish to purchase a character from us to sell to a client, you will need to purchase our business license. If you do not have our business rates, please request them from us.
You are not permitted to list our template character online or on any asset stores. Each character we provide has a unique marking so that we can identify who the original customer was. If the character ends up online, we can track back who upload the files.
