Just letting you know I have chosen what software I am going to use for making my videos. I did some experimenting and came up with a list with applications I never heard of before.
Adobe Captivate, to record my screen.
Adobe Audition, to filter out background noise.
Adobe Premiere Pro, for video montage.
Adobe Photoshop, for some graphical things.
I have already recorded three videos using this package. And beside of my own voice (which is as monotone as can be) the videos turn out great. Captivate even allows me to export them as .mp4 files optimized for Youtube HD.
