So I hit my first 100 subscribers some time in January, and I made it my goal to try and aim for close to 1000 subscribers by August 16th (my birthday). I wasn't sure if I could do it since it took me 2.5 months to hit 100, but it looks like I was.. and 2 months early to boot!

I'm looking forward to August, since I sent myself an email meant to arrive on my birthday using futureme.org that has all the old stats my channel had back at the start of January. Going to be amusing comparing numbers for sure.

Anyway I owe the subs/views I have to all the great advice I've read here and from folks like Tim Schmoyer @ video creators etc.

In the last few weeks I've really upped my SEO game and finally figured out how to get myself ranked on the 1st page pretty much every single time, so now I'm aiming to make highly searchable videos the majority of my content (as opposed to before, where I had 3-4 searchable videos and the rest was just stuff I wanted to talk about) and hopefully this'll speed up my growth even further.

Great work! I keep hearing that the more subs you get, the easier they are to acquire so it will be exciting to see where you will be this time next year!

Yep, the subs definitely have sped up as time went along. It took me 2-2.5 months to reach 100 subs. Then a month later I had 200. This past 28 days according to my analytics I've gained 263 subs - and that number seems to go up by a few every few days. Things have definitely massively sped up over the last month. My monthly views were like half what they are now a month ago, and my monetised earnings have almost tripled in the last month. Here's to things keeping going in that direction and an amazing year ahead :D

Congrats man that is really awesome!!! I started mine in January also i just hit 400 yesterday so i have a long way to go
