I'm confused on this aswell, as a beauty youtuber what I say isn't typically revolutionary (shocker) so I feel like I have my wording down pat but then I think oh I could make myself a little different and stand out if I said something out of the ordinary and actually thought about what I was going to say!
Like everyone else on the thread I think it really depends on the video, you can get away with not having a script but I think if you want to be clear and entertaining and make a point such as a review video a script might be really helpful!
