I hate my channel name. It sounds stupid and people always end up pronouncing or spelling it wrong.
Is it worth going through all the work to change my channel's name, though?

Changing your channel name isn't really too much of a hassle and can be done quite quickly, the issue is what comes with it like the possible loss in subs of people not recognising you, the re-branding of your channel/twitter/other social media.

In the long term if you dislike something about your channel you should change it.

I personally don't see anything wrong with the name. But that said, it's your channel, and if you're not comfortable with it then you should change it! Because if you're not having fun with every aspect of this, then it can show in your videos!

Short story, I had a mention in another channel for some reason.
The other person tried to pronounce my name. He failed and stopped.
While watching for the first time I froze. What is happening?
I hate my name now, why didn't I kept a cozy nickname? pffff...
Keeping the story short, he wrote down my name in the video
and it was a funny moment. So. Did I mention that I got a mention?
who cares for the name, there is always a link in the description!

    :) ;)

Do you have an alternative in mind? If so, then you might be okay to change it earlier rather than later. However, plenty of words are mispronounced initially and just takes one correction for people to remember. Then, you have a unique branded name that no one else has thought of. But still, I have experience with foreign words and people will learn. Don't be embarrassed. Imagine it's the name you were given at birth... would you change it, or just help people pronounce it right? lol....

Teach me.... how is it supposed to be pronounced? Skoo-ta-kip? Doesn't seem that hard to me.

Edit: watched one of your videos. Have you ever said your name during the broadcast, "Hey it's me, scootakip" or add a voiceover when you show your channel name in your intro. Easy. I like the name.

It doesn’t really take too much effort to change your name, if you really hate it then you should change it.

Depends on the name. Certain browser extentions like TubeBiddy give information on search frequency and search compitition. So if your channel name is something searched infrequently, or if it has a lot of search compitition (like of you names your channel "markipler") then you should consider a new name.

I've been having the hardest time changing my channel name through Google. Does it have something to do with having a minimal amount of subs?
