Is it okay to monetize videos if...

Fair use can allow monetization. The publisher has no power if the content is fair use.
 
For example guys, the videos on my channel (won't let me post link), all of them I am commentating on and they give a somewhat educational purpose for the game I'm play, and if I monetize it, would I get a copyright strike?

Monetization has nothing to do with having a DMCA issued against one of your videos. The copyright holder will take it down if they want regardless of whether you're monetizing it. In this case, it's fair use so you won't have any problems.

You're doing gaming video's so you need a network to make legally money of your video's. Are you partnered with a network?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I'm going to try and get partnered, but until then I'm going to have no monetization.

That's not true.. you don't need a network, they won't help you legally in any way. You can legally monetize gaming videos with adsense but being partnered to a network will give you instant monetization which is very useful for gaming videos since youtube is slow as hell reviewing videos.
