Is after effects worth it?

i have after effects , but it's soo slow on my computer and I don't really understand the work flow on it. Does anyone with experience on it know if it's worth using for normal videos ?

Honestly depends on the kind of videos your making, but seeing as your a gaming channel i would recommend something like hitfilm express its free after effects work flow is ver professional and is a bit tricky to work but hitfilm is actually very easy to learn and get the hang of and you can do the cool effects you see in other gamers channel, but also your computer must be of a somewhat good quality to run these programs

After Effects is ideal for advanced effects and animations...but you have to take the time and learn to program to really make use of all the features.

If you can't run it without it severely lagging on your machine and you're not sure how to use it, then it's not worth it.
Consider watching a few tutorials on youtube first.
