So yeah. The title said it.
I'm finding a way to promote my channel. I "know" using other social media platforms to promote your videos will gather some subscribers and viewers. But what I'm worrying is how social media sites treat a link from youtube. I've heard that less traffic will be given if you upload something in facebook that has a link on it. Is it the same in Twitter and Instagram? I'm already planning to promote my channel and videos but before I proceed on long term promotion I just want to consider things first so that I'm not doing promotion for nothing. Any advice on what way I should promote my channel and videos on different social media platforms without getting the traffic reduced because of "links"

You can use Reddit, but only if you know where to post, because if they feel that you have posted in the wrongs section, they will be ruthless.
And at the same time, use Reddit as any other forums, comment and be active before posting your videos. Otherwise they will feel like you are a spammer!
