I Have a Problem With Monetization On My Channel?

I decided I want to join a network now so Im applying to all. I enabled monitization way back in February but never monetized any videos. On my channels Settings > Feature > Monetization, its green and says Enabled. I click on 'View monetization settings and it says:

Account Status
Your account is not enabled for monetization

I try to enable and it says error. I then go to enable a video for monetization and it goes green for monetization. So my channel is enabled for monetization but its not, at the same time?
Anyone else have a problem like this? Is it even a problem?

Only thing I can think of is make sure your youtube account is verified.

Yeah - it sounds like you may need to set up/hook up your Adsense account to your YouTube account. They can't start putting ads up until they know where to send the sacks of cash to![DOUBLEPOST=1379683215,1379683142][/DOUBLEPOST]Also - what does the error look like when you try to enable it?

I click 'Enable Account', check the 3 check boxes, click 'I Accept' then the error:

Weird. It may just be a Google/Youtube issue at the moment - but do you have Adsense set up for the google account you have your channel set up through - or do you have an existing adsense account from another gmail? Because you can attach a second channel to your adsense (though two is the max at the moment).

It's an existing adsense account from another gmail. I checked the adsense and it says 'Enabled' for youtube so you probably right, it might be a google/youtube issue. Thanks!

I just checked my account and same situation as you.

When I started my channel, I enabled monetization and linked with adsense and had ads on my videos. Then I decided I didn't want ads on any of my vids until I grew, so I removed the ads from all the vids, but obviously didn't cancel the overall monetization approval for the channel. All that was a few weeks ago.

I have just checked my monetization settings and I get the same thing as you. My account is labelled "Partner verified", there is a green light to indicate my account is monetized, but when I click on monetization settings, it says channel is not monetized and when I try to do it, I too get a red message saying there was an error and to try later. Weird thing is - I can activate ads on any of my videos immediately.

So it seems like a bit of a bug in the software - I'm not too worried because I don't want ads on my videos yet, but I'd be interested in the outcome

Yup, that sounds 100% same as mine, monetization IS enable but not enabled lol. Thats good to know! Does sound like a bug cuz it makes no sense. Thanks bro!

They MUST be up to something because I lost monetization from 5 of my videos with no flag or warning - the ability was just wiped from those videos - Just two days ago things popped back on with no warning or heads up.

They screwing stuff up. I also just noticed on my channel page that the 'Discussion' tab was turned off. I enabled that the 1st day I switched to the new channel and never shut it off. Why Youtube screwing around like Facebook, turning s**t on and off without warning? Guess its the cool thing to do.
