How's your experience with Tip Jar / Fan Funding

Pretty much the title. My particular medium probably wont work well for Patreon and I'm considering enabling the tip jar. It seems to me that the click through rate is probably somewhat smaller since It doesnt look as if you can directly link them.
 
I'll just say that Tip Jar only works in a few countries, these countries being
  • Australia
  • France
  • Mexico
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom
  • United States
  • Japan

That being said, I have 0 experience with it, because I can't even enable it (nor I can donate, I actually don't even know which YouTubers have it enabled and which don't), since I live in the Czech Republic

Don't really focus on fan funding up until you have xx,xxx amount of subs. It can work before then but it won't be as good. I just enabled the tip jar as an experiment and got a donation of $1.69. Never made any mention of it and still won't up until I hit at least 5,000. I won't be using patreon for sure up until I have 25K+ or maybe even 50K+.
