How would you sync this?

Hi all,

I've got an interesting "issue". I have a standalone camera with mic attached for primary audio. But I will also be doing work on my computer where no sound is actually captured. Since the computer won't be recording audio, how would I sync that up?

Could I just smash the space bar hard enough to mimic a clap board? It's a mechanical keyboard so I'm not too worried about hurting it

what are you trying to sync, mic with camera or with whatever is showing on computer? I usually clap hands 3 times if mic & camera are separate

If there is no way to record any audio on the computer I would make a very distinctive movement in the video, while making an noise on the audio. I have had to do that before, I just said 'mark' while holding my palm out to the camera. It won't be perfect, but should get you fairly close.

As more info, i'm trying to sync a programming tutorial. I'll just be typing on the computer and the audio will be picked up by my camera.
