how much of a song can I use?

I was hoping I'd be able to use like 20ish seconds of a song I'm loving atm in a video?
But I'm not sure if I'm able to.

I read somewhere that you can use up to 30 seconds of a song, but I'm not sure.

Filming today and I don't wanna film that bit, if I can't use it LOL

I'm in the UK if that makes any difference... I feel like US and UK could be different LOL

it actually varies, some songs aren't scanned for the system to place a claim, theres probably a video or webpage that says what songs are claimed, don't always use real songs, there are sites that take in songs created by the community such as AudioPortal, trust me check it out i use the songs in all my videos for the whole song and i've never had to deal with a claim! Just be careful for remixes they can stilled get claimed for some reason
 
Yeah. I just read that so I did something like that. I ended up using like 5 seconds anyway just like... a line haha. but yeah I read that somewhere and managed to work it out so hopefully i'll be okay!

I heard somewhere that its 10 seconds or less, but even remixes and covers can be claimed as its not original content
