The fact that maybe some people are making good money will not say YOU are going to make money bro..

You shouldn't be making videos just to make money in the first place
I earn pretty good btw. Just to answer your question. But don't think people are going to tell you their exact numbers.

My CPM with adsense was about 4.50$. But that's for monetizeable views.
Maybe 1/3'rd of my views were monetizeable.

Truly made like 1.50$ per 1,000 views.

Adsense owes me a little more than 100$.

I ditched adsense. Was offered some partnerships.
Went with socialblade because of the very clear and simple 1 year contract and complete creative control.

If you are just starting out you will not be making anything for a LONG time. Your computer costs more to run than you will make on Youtube for the first year. It's a long term investment that probably won't pay off soon unless you do the generic Minecraft/COD videos that everyone seems to use as a money machine these days.
