Hi there,
sorry to keep asking questions but can others tell me how many views average do they need to make one dollar. I ask because I require around 4oo-500 on average.
For people with vids over 1 millions views do they get more unskippible ads?
Doe these ads pay a much better ratio?
What are other people's earnings on average to give me an idea?
Thanks guys this is the best forum for getting much needed info and friendly too.
Cheers
Nathan

There is not set number and no average.. you might have a 50/50, 60/40, 70/30, etc contract which will make it different, It will also depend on what adverts you allow on your videos, how much each of the adverts is making at that time of the month, how may of each of the different types of adverts are being watched.. etc..

Personally the lowest I've seen is 1000 views - 0.15$ (this being the little banner advert you can X away) and the highest I've seen/heard of being 1000 views - 45$ (this being the advert that appears before your video which you can't skip)

$45 for 1000? I wish I could get that much....

That is incredible $45 per 1000!!!!
Is it true that when a video starts getting millions of views it gets more unskippable ads?
I have heard this before as I only get a few of them.
As for contract I thought it was the same for all people on yt.
How is it decided who gets what?
Thanks

If you are not with a network, you get 55% and Google takes 45%. If you're with a network (which is what they were referring to) You get a share, Google does and the networks' takes a share too.

Auction TrueView In-Stream - This is the one that makes the most money but you normally don't get them very often, if you go into your Analytics this advert will probably be around $15-$25.
Standard Reserved In-Stream - This is basically the same but doesn't make as much money (I think this is the one you can skip but I'm not too sure)

Oh also if you click on either one of these you can see which country pays the most and who's paying you the least.. If I got 1000 views of Auction TrueView ads from Norway I would get around $45-$50! :") but that's very unlikely...

All contract splits are different and it's what you agree on when you sign for your contract, for example mine it 70/30.. RPM also have contracts that are 50/50 so basically I've got one of the better contracts because I get more of the money that my videos make.

I sometimes get unknown auction ads on my videos with CPMs ranging from $45 to $60, but they only appear every once in a while. When I look at my Analytics from 2013 as a whole, my average CPM so far is a little over $16, but it has been raising in the last couple of months. My average CPM from last September was just over $28.

Hahaa I just checked for my Auction Trueview ads and when I would get 1000 views from Slovakia showing these ads I would get $94! :P Damn, how can Slovakia generate a CPM that high? Also New Zealand and Norway both give me a value above $80.
