How loud should my videos be?

This has been driving me crazy for awhile. I don't know what volume is appropriate for my videos. Some youtubers are much louder than others and I can figure out what seems right. I do gaming videos and I can't seem to get the right balance between loud and quiet.

That's a good question. I set the Windows volume scale at the mid point and adjust the video volume in editing so it's comfortable to listen to . I use headphones most times.

That mid point setting will then give viewers the option to raise or lower the video volume when published. For gaming you could pump up the volume a bit more than for speaking.

Seems to work OK for my videos and no-one complains about the level.
