It took about 3 months for us to reach our first $100 payment, and about a year to reach $1,000 in total.

I think it took me about 2 and a half years, although a lot of that time I wasn't actively posting content. Honestly it's hard to know how long it will take to get the next $1000 because I know I'll grow faster than what socialblade predicts if I make the right content.

From the start of my channel: 8 years and 10 months.
From when I started trying to make something of my channel: 8-9 months.
From when I enabled monetization: the next month.

But that was from a semi-viral video and I didn't get up to $1,000 per month again until a year and a half later.

Yeah, it's starting to level out now. Just this month I first started getting hit with a bunch of ad unfriendly stuff. You had a good December last year, and overall this year has been better than last, so imagine this December!
