Awesome stuff! Great news. There's a good chance it will go back down so prepare yourself for that and don't get depressed. It means you made content that people liked and the youtube algorithm recognised this so literally shoved the video in front of hundreds of thousands of peoples faces!!
Last week was holidays. Some people fared well. Others didn't. CPM's were also doubled because advertisers knew people would be sitting around watching videos. I was stoked to see my channel peak at around 150k views a day for the last week, however what comes up must come down lol. Not always, but in most cases yes.
So what could happen are a few things.
- Your video will continue to bring in the views, subs and $$ and turn you into an youtube sensation (not so likely)
- The video will decrease in views but become whats known as an "evergreen" where is brings in a nice amount of views consistently for years and often gets re suggested by youtube (most likely)
- It will get a tonne of views then die off (it happens)
Best thing you can do is study that video and understand why it worked so well, then hopefully you can repeat the process again.
And ultimately, be happy with the fact you are building your audience. A happy audience is everything in most cases. Don't flood/overwhelm them with content trying to get another vid to blow up. Focus on a quality content vid that will work well for you even if it takes 2-3 weeks.
I used to think I had to upload 1 video a week now it's more closer to one every fortnight. Combine a happy audience with the quality content they came to see and you will succeed!
