For me it generally takes 3 hours to prepare, record, edit, render and make a thumbnail.

It takes me around 1-3 hours to record footage, and at least double that to edit it, so around 4-8 hours of editing on average, give or take a few hours.

For stock footage clips nothing, I stop wherever I see something I like and just press record for 1 minute. I might delay setting a tripod or monopod, else handheld. Loading in timeline, muting unwanted audio and slightly pushing color settings at no time. Rendering and uploading, the same. All this for a simgle clip, take no more than half an hour.

And then starts the real time consuming trouble,
searchig for relevat content to have some keyword ideas,
indexing,
geotagging,
endscreens,
cards,
poll,
thumbnail,
title,
(fixed) description,
tags,
second external upload for download link with c/p
title
and descriptions
but separate geotagging
links back to the channel
links for download
checking if everything work,
sometimes trimming again in Youtube studio editor.

...And all this for a top of usually 0-10 views... hahaha!? :D :p
