How long did it take your channel to really kick off

I've been on for almost 2 years (will be 2 years next month) and just now got to 100 subs so I feel like my channel is taking off now but I wasn't making the best content I could when I started and am changing that so I think that's a huge factor, as well. It really depends on the type of content you make I think though.

I have a channel sith 248 subscribers ATM and i think for myself that i'm making pretty good videos for my thought but i am not growing at all. Then you can see other YouTubers with bad,boring videos and bad quality and they are gaining subscribers really fast. Does anyone knows what should I do to blow my channel? Im starting a new types of commentaries of just me talking funny stuff and things like that. Anyways here is my channel: HubekYT

For 3 years I had a steady growth, then last November it took off. Mainly because of one video, that now makes 27% of my monthly views, so I went from 150.000 to 250.000 views per month within a few weeks and now try to keep that level.

Still waiting for a boost in views. Started 5 months ago with steady views from existing subs but new subs have stalled since January. I'll update if/when it happens.

7 years to get to 1k, year 8 was 15k, year 9 was 20-50k, and finaly year 10 I reached 100k.
safe to say the first 7 years were super slow fun hobby times, and now its finally starting to pay for itself which is lovely

Year 3 and got 664 subscribers! I take it as I haven´t been "Kicking off" yet! I see it that I have kicked off when I get at least 1k views on my videos!
