The majority of my views come in the first 24 hours, and do get some views from the minute that I upload. After 24 hours, the views continue to trickle in continuously after that (I still get a few views every day on old videos).
One of my videos that went viral was a bit of an exception to this, being that the views did come in fast in the first 24 hours, but faster than normal, and the video continued to take off for weeks after that, and then views gradually tapered off.
