How do you handle negativity from peers and family when starting a channel?

It's definitely a hobby for now, I'm staying put at least until YouTube can pay as much as my job is paying now, thanks for all of the advice, friends not supporting is a big one, but its motivation to prove them all wrong

Honestly I don't really let it bother me, if I enjoy making the content i'll continue it, with or without my friends and family's support.
If anything it fuels me even more to prove them wrong and succeed.

Do it for the sake of you wanting to do it, through my life experience proving people wrong has no benefit or advantage.The reward u get from proving people wrong is these 3 words "Good for you". That's it
