how do I tell if a friend is cheating/botting on youtube?

A friend and I are trying to decode a recent incline in a certain channels subs and he has 2 new videos that have gained a hefty amount of views.

any software you guys know of to see where these views are coming from?

or should I let you guys decode the mystery ? XD
 
Is it really that serious? if he/she is botting they are risking their channel, not really your problem or anyone elses problem really, also bots dont support ads, so he would not be gaining anything.

we are not taking it seriously to begin with.

we are just curious.
 
This happend to me a while back I tryed contacting youtube telling them that im not the fault and nothing happend my channel is fine but for some reason the huge amount of views that came in were all from facebook for some reason :-/ ?? Weird

old youtube account or the one you are on now?

because if so, this one is on a much larger scale.
making 300 sum subs in two days.

300 subs in 2 days is 100% proof, unless they have a viral video or already youtube popular

My current one called Pokebrocast :-) And the only thing getting botted was the viewes on two of my videos :(
