How did you get to 100 subs?

the first 100 and first 1000 are always the hardest ones to reach. I've been doing this now for over 12 months and im getting very close to hitting 100. To do that I've been posting on social media every day for the last 12 months AND I've been sharing my videos out to a dozen different reddit/forum/message boards AND i've been actively involved in talking to the film makers who's films I review. I've literally given youtube 8 hours a day almost every day for the last 12 months. it's painful. but the returns are plentiful in terms of views.

I'd say focus less on the numbers and more about cultivating your "Core bedrock audience" once you get a solid foundation of people who'll watch almost every video you upload you can start snowballing your subs into something substancial.
