Hi,

I not sure what the exact rules are to external video footage in my video.

I wanted to add the trailer of an anime in my January favs. video but now I not sure how. There is a youtube that has uploaded the dubbed version of the trailer on youtube. Can I just use that to a extent if I name the source ( so the channel and link) or is there a 30 secound rule like with copyrighted music?
Do I have to ask the channel if I can use it ?
Or can I just use a part of the trailer because the channel that uploaded it doesn't strictly own it himself ?
Can some explain the rules to this I'm not to sure what is allowed

Thank you in advance :)

If you do not own the content, you must get written permission to use it. If it is transformed(Audio and visual) then it would be treated differently but there is still a risk of a strike that you would have to dispute. You are better off not using anything you do not own.

Oh ok. I might leave it out if there are is no leeway. I don't want a strike it not worth it for a strike
