Have you ever entered a video competition?

I ask because every year RØDE does a film festival online, and I was wondering if anyone here has entered and or won. I am curious because I am entering this year, and would like to learn more about the process!

I've entered and won a few local video/photo competitions as well as assisted on a team for a state competition between colleges. Sadly never entered RØDE's competition so I may need to make that a goal for next year!

We never entered competition but looks like a nice idea.
In anyway using cheap camcorder rules out our participation I think.
Otherwise creating cool less than 3 min. movie shouldn't be so difficult!

I entered a contest at work for videos about one initiative or another, but my company has a whole video production company, so they weren't all that impressed with my homespun version of "production values."

yes i entered my most popular video (which wasnt at the time) which meant i couldn't monetise it, and turns out i've gained over 200 pounds which i won't get as the video isn't monetised as the competition owners claimed it, so annoying, then i was told it was too long and i couldn't even enter it yet its still claimed!
