I just recently discovered GoPro cameras (the ones I've seen used for adventurous activities) and was wondering if anyone here uses these brand of cameras and what they think about them.
 
I was going to get one, but I don't really need one at the moment, so If I ever do get one then I'll give you my opinion :p

GoPro HD Hero v2 nuff said best camera for sports period. lol my friend has one and we go snowboarding, hes dropped it load of times... trying to get a pov front flip and bailing lol... sor yeah really good cameras ;)
 
I would also like to know more about these kinds of cameras, I am actually looking for a descent HD camera to start off with. Will research and maybe let you know if I find anything good about these GoPros :).
 
They look good to me, well as a kit for doing more adventurous stuff like you said, I can imagine these being great for high speed recording like skateboarding, snowboarding and whatever else. I havent seen their quality but for the price I would expect it to be decent.

And for a higher price you can livestream activities from the go pro to twitch.tv or some other livestreaming site =p really cool stuff with these go pros
 
I was really considering getting one until I realised that my laptop was not up to standard; so I bought an iMac :d lol

However, one of my best mate does youtube videos with his RC Plane and uses that to film and any other sporting activities he does (generally mountain biking). He says its amazing and really worth buying one. But if you are to get one, be sure to get it with protective casing and a bunch of mounts - probably the outdoor edition. However, they have plenty of other packages to choose from depending one the kind of sport you are doing (like waterspouts - specialised mounts and casing).

I was considering getting it to film myself snowboarding from a First Person view however I am kinda out of money at the moment; so that can wait :)
