Good video editing software for beginners ?

I use audacity for my audio editing & Windows movie maker but is there something better out there ?

I used movie maker for a long time in the beginning, but then moved to adobe premier pro, I learned it all on my own. It really isn't to hard to use and I learn more each time I use it. It isnt free, but for $20 a month, I personally think its worth it.
