Good editing softwares?

What do you guys think are some really good editing softwares?
I think;
Vegas Pro 11
and After effects CS5
Are good softwares for stuff like montages ,etc.
 
I Recommend Sony Vegas Pro 11, since I, myself use it to edit my videos.
Here's my latest video that was edited with Sony Vegas Pro 11 (Uploaded Today):

 
I agree with KeX. I feel that Sony Vegas is VERY easy to use yet the things you can do with it are somewhat limited whereas I found After Effects much harder (personally) but you can get much better quality effects and more complex editing done with it :p

I agree with you aswell,but I use both because,i personally think,if you use them both,you can do allot of things with it :)
