Good compact camera's for beginning vloggers

Hi all! First post here on the forums. I was hoping you guys could recommend some compact cameras that would be good for vlogging for a beginner! Hopefully one under or around $250 AUD. I was thinking of the Canon IXUS 185, but it only films in 720p.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks!

Your phone will probably shoot good HD video.
Anything under $250 probably won't, so I'd recommend starting with your phone, as you've always got that camera on you anyway.

I shoot with the Sony RX100, which is amazing quality for the size, but it does cost more. Keep an eye on these cameras though as they're coming down in price and you can usually get a great deal on eBay.
