This is incredibly depressing for me as this channel’s been a major part of my livelihood for a long while now. I run a meditation/sleep/relaxation audio channel which has over 250k subs yet my videos are now barely scraping past 1k views. I make around £1.6k/$1.8k pm but that’s a significant underachievement and at this rate I don’t know if even that can be sustained long term.
I was actually one of the first to start a channel like this and it used to be very popular until a rapid decline several years back. This despite an increase in video and audio production quality.
The frustrating thing is, the musical tracks are my own original creations, yet there are stock music based channels outperforming mine 10 fold. I don’t understand how with so many subs, only 300 or so are viewing one of my vids within the first day.
Can I bounce back from such a dramatic fall, or am I wasting my time? Is anyone else going through this - not struggling to get off the ground, but stumbling after an initial period of massive growth?
I feel that starting a new channel would be even more difficult considering the nature of the new YT algo.
Is it worth me continuing with this or is my channel pretty much dead?
