Fullscreen Partnership and Music Cover

So Fullscreen is great to partner with because you can get paid for Youtube Covers as long as the song is under the Universal Music Publishing Group. I want in.

However... right now every one of my music covers has the "matched 3rd party content" thing, since apparently making covers contains copyright material. So I don't have any copyright strikes... just these little words next to each video. Will this be a problem when applying for Fullscreen Partnership? I'm afraid they will look at these videos and view it as copyright fraud or something and deny me.
 
You can only monetize those songs if you are in FAM (Fullscreen Artist Mix). The entire UMPG catalog is not available yet. Portions of it are being added periodically, but so far only a small portion is available for monetization, so keep that in mind if you decide to apply-and make sure to apply directly to FAM and not Fullscreen.

You shouldn't have any issues with matched 3rd party content as that's a common notice to have on any video where you cover popular music.
 
I'm with Fullscreen FAM, it's fine if you have matched 3rd party contents. Just apply to FAM directly. About the covers yes you can monetize them if it's in the FAM library but you need to get a lot of views to make some money, and the ads only appear for US viewers only. So it's also good to make your own original songs. I think they will accept you, your videos are good.

Well the thing is... I already applied about a week ago and they denied me... This could be because the majority of my songs are Muse songs which ARE NOT under UMPG. So they probably thought it would be pointless right?
So my goal at the moment is to upload more songs that are under UMPG.

Also... what do you mean apply directly through FAM? I applied on Fullscreen.net. Is that bad?

If I get denied again is that bad? Should I give myself a month to upload more videos?

I have cover songs that are not in the library, i don't monetize them. You have to apply directly to FAM. They have a youtube channel and facebook page, there are links to apply to them.

Alright cool. Thanks so much for the help. So... now that you're partnered does that mean you can upload a video/song that is not in the library whenever you want, but just not get paid for it? Or is it... once your partnered you can never post a video of a song outside of the library?

Yeah it's fine to upload any songs you want, but make sure it's a cover and don't use any copyrighted tracks. It's also important to read the contract carefully because once you signed with them you can't leave until the contract ends.
