Note: This isn't a sob story that you can just read and move along. I honestly NEED advice.

It's been a couple of days where I've been feeling like I want to quit YouTube and stop making videos. It seems that no matter how hard I try to make better videos, nothing seems to change that much. The total view count goes up by a bit and the subscriber count stays the same. Whenever I make a video I think that this will be the one that will get me a bit more exposure but as usual, I'm wrong. I see people that have similar content as me but they are doing much better. Why? What am I doing wrong that they are doing right? What can I do that can get me that little exposure so that I can not only have fun when recording gameplay and editing but to also have fun replying to comments and reaching to a point where I can socialise with my subscribers? It just annoys me that I wasted money and time to see no real improvements.

usually its just time that is the difference between you and similar people on youtube, most of the people i see that have similar content to me but are doing better, it is because they have been at it for longer than me. just cheer up, enjoy making your videos and if your quality and content is something people want to see, then you will eventually gain notice. :)

I guess that in time I might be doing better. Also, I do enjoy making my videos and editing them but I would just like to see a bigger jump than what I'm getting now if you get what I mean. Anyway, thanks for your reply :)

Honestly I'm going to say don't quit. I always go through my ups and downs with YouTube and a lot of times I get discouraged. But, if you really like making videos don't be quitter. Your moment will come eventually just keep working at it.

i think if u really enjoy doing it, then dont quit just because of subscribers. if you quit, would you miss doing it? that is a question to ask yourself. you never know why other people might have more subscribers than you. maybe one day that will be you, and someone else will be saying wow i want to have lots of subscribers like that person.

YouTube takes a lot of persistence. You have to love doing it for the love of doing it first, the thoughts of being seen by thousands second.
don't give up, keep at it.

Most YouTubers were at it for YEARS before they started getting views.

So don't quit, keep at it. SLow and steady wins the race.

I agree with the comments above. Don't get down on yourself about not having all the views and subs yet. I go to sleep every night hoping to wake up to the viral explosion on my site, but it hasn't arrived yet. Don't quit due to lack of success. Perservere and overcome it and you will be that much better for it when the success does arrive. Do what you enjoy but do it for you. Others will come eventually.;)

Sit down and relax cause this might be a long one...
You're experiencing the "YouTube Blues" (in my opinion anyway)...! I think everyone has this at some point while making YouTube videos. (shoot I just got out of it a few weeks ago..well kinda) Honestly...I don't think you should quit at all..if you really love what you're doing...then forget about the views and subs and blah blah blah...Just focus on the fact that you really love what you are doing..and keep pushing yourself to get better and be different from the rest of the people who are under the same content category as you. The more you focus on that..I think the feeling of wanting to quit will go away as you see yourself improve. :3 oh and another tip...when trying to improve..try watching your videos as someone who JUST came to your channel....try to think of where you can improve ...re-watch yourself. :3

My suggestions/Advice/Thoughts...
In regards to your video... maybe you can record your face and your reactions to the game that you are playing...people like to see faces of the person talking on screen)
Maybe you should make a little logo or watermark on your videos to make it feel more official.
There are some points in your videos when you're a bit quite while the video game is going...maybe during that time you can talk about something or make fun of the characters in the game or something...

Hopefully some of this helps...try to find forums with lots of gamers that are interested in watching other gamers...like this forum! There are lots of gamers on this forum...i feel that you all should stick together and support each other.

Watch other gamers and watch their mistakes and try not to do what they do. Or watch other gamers and see cool things that have done and try to make your own version of that. Just put 100% of you and your personality into your videos and people will feel and see that..and you will start getting more feedback and support.

Long story short. Don't quit. :3 <3
