Does it violate youtube rules to use a url shortener instead of custom url?

For youtubers with less than 100 subs (that can't have a custom url) is it ok to use a link shortener to place external links to channel page or vids? I'd like to put a shorter link to my youtube page on my Twitter site. I'm just wandering if it is against one of youtube's many secret rules?

I wouldnt think so...Tinyurl has been around for years and its a great way to save on characters on twitter...I think they might have a problem if you started commenting on other peoples videos using Tinyurls or link shortners because that could be seen as spamming...but externally? yeh I think you'd probably be fine...

The link shortener must take the person directly to the intended destination. It must not take them to an advertisement, then onward.
