There are plenty of youtubers that make videos with different themes but mostly with the purpose of being funny. I myself make animations and movie reviews. Two different categories, but both with the idea of making people laugh.

It really just depends on how broad you want your channel to be, you can centralize on things like pranks, or fails, or something else, or you can have it a more general channel that has mixed videos of all subgenres in the funny genre
