Do you keep old video files after uploading?

I recently got a G Suite account, so I've been backing up everything to Google Drive. I keep my YouTube videos to 5 minutes or less, so I should have plenty of room for a while.

I've got some videos that I'm keeping secure and private to sell as online courses. I'm putting those on Amazon S3. I have a 3rd party program to make it easier to convert and upload them.

I delete my playthrough vids after a few weeks of uploading, but I keep the final video on my computer. But after hearing how a lot of people lost their footage through hacks and computer crashes I think I might go out and buy an external drive.

I know what you mean with needing extra space. I used to have a chromebook 15 > .>

Anyways, i delete my videos after i'm done with them, because i can just simply download it if i need to. There are sites that allow you to download youtube videos.
