Discord Issue?

I have this issue on discord where occasionally my friend is speaking and then his audio start to distort sounding like a robot and cuts out what he's saying. And he says it does the same on his side as well. Is there any way to fix this?.

Never mind I found the answer to my question. You just have to go into the "server settings" of you discord channel and change the "server region" to something that is closest to you. And if you can't change it from the app itself, do it through your browser and it should let you change it. Unfortunately this fix isn't gonna help my problem because it's already set up the way it should be. We both just have s****y internet connections so we'll always have this issue.
