Creative Nation Invite but already in network (switch?)

This also proofs on how unprofessional the network actually is, which makes the content they state even more questionable. Most likely a sugarcoated story to get you in and once you uncover the truth, it is already too late and can't leave the network due to the contract.

I can assure you that won't happen, I think Shane & Matt are running Creative Nation very profesionally. I'm not sure why they would spam you though, I can hardly imagine they would.

unsure how receiving one PM can be considered spam :p

When it is sent out to a load of people it is called mass spamming. When you receive an email in your inbox which you didnt sign up for or agree to receive that is called spam too. Creative Nations recruiters are clearly spamming people with unsolicited messages via YouTube and using YTtalk as a place to gather potential partners. As far as I am concerned thats not good practice and reflects badly upon the staff/business who recruit these recruiters.

How else are networks meant to contact channels though?

The same way as others do with proper advertising techniques and not resorting to spam.

The others (VISO, Machinima, Fullscreen, RPM et al.) all recruit via unsolicited YT PM. It's only the more "premium" networks like Polaris, Collective, etc that seem to do less outward recruiting.

I havent seen anyone say they have been invited to RPM or Fullscreen via YouTube on here before and I cannot imagine them sending them out to anyone and everyone. Recruiting selectively is a lot more ethical than sending out messages to anyone and everyone. It only comes across as spamming because of how they're doing it.
