I've been making top 5 videos on my channel, and my plan is to make them about YouTubers, and the only thing that isn't my content in the video would be pictures of them/their channels. There won't be any downloading and putting their videos into my videos involved, so I'm just wondering if this would be fair use? The only reason I'm worried is that technically, the pictures I would be using aren't my copyright, so do you think I have a chance of getting a copyright strike from the YouTubers if I used only pictures of them/their channels in my video? Thanks!

Everyone does it, it's kinda a gray area that no one pays attention to :p

Well yeah, there's a gray area, but technically under the Fair Use Doctrine you are permitted to use copyrighted work of any kind (videos, music, etc) as long as you do not monetize, commercialize, or use it to benefit from. So teaching purposes and "for fun" is totally okay.

So you should be alright. :)

How about a screen cap of a youtube search result? Then you zoom in on the channel your talking about?

Sneaky!
